Educate2Envision

Bio: 
Katia Gomez was awarded a District Scholarship in 2011 to complete her Master's Degree in Global Health at Boston University. Since then she has opened eight schools across Honduras through her nonprofit Educate2Envision and been awarded Top US Changemaker under 25 by Do Something.org, 25 Women in the World to Watch under 25 by Newsweek, and Top 12 Young Entrepreneurs Doing Good by Forbes. She currently serves as a Fellow for both Ashoka and Cordes Foundation, that honor entrepreneurs with innovative solutions to tackling global poverty.

Limited access to schooling beyond sixth grade for the world's poorest countries is our generation's biggest challenge to achieving universal education. Katia will share her insights from several years of experience working in rural Honduras and the pathway her organization has created to transforming out-of-school youth into community leaders.
