Climate Crisis, discussing the scientific facts, and the proposed solutions.

Mr. William Devincenzi was born and raised in San Francisco, bay area. He spent 28 year in accounting and finance related fields, as CFO in the last 10 years. He has also spent 25 year career in teaching at San Jose State University, and was named outstanding lecturer at the University in 2009. He has served on many non-profit Boards of Directors, including 11 years at the Foundation for Global Community and 7 years on Silicon Valley Federal Credit Union, 3 years as Chairman of the Board. Mr. William has always had a strong interest in ethics and the environment, conducting research and presenting on topics such as: Sustainable business practices, business ethics, integrating values and business smarts, your money or your life, and inserting environmental topics into the business curriculum. Now that he is retired (for the 3 rd time), he is interested in pursuing what he consider the most vital issue of our time, the impact of climate change on our planet. He has recently joined the Elders Climate Action leadership team, and Elders Action Network Board of Directors. He has attended the Climate Reality Project (CRP) training with Al Gore last August, joined the Santa Clara County Chapter of CRP, and is actively participating in their speaker’s bureau, presenting the Climate Crisis and solutions. Mr. William is married for 52 years, living in San Jose. He has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. |

We are pleased to Host a Holiday Toy Drive for children of LifeMoves / San Jose. This is transitional housing facility assisting families in our community. Please come and help shop for 31 children age ranges 0 - 15 yrs old at Walmart McCarthy Ranch Milpitas. In addition, we plan on having lunch afterwards at Banana Leaf (pay on your own) in the same shopping center. Let's bond and have a FUN time together! Looking forward to seeing you! Francesca

Holidays are here and our club board has agreed to host a Holiday party for our club members and their guests at the Red Lobster in Evergreen (2040 Aborn Road, San Jose, CA) on Thursday, December 19th, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. till 10 p.m.
This will be free for all club members. The charges for the guests are $30 per person.
We will be hosting a 'White Elephant Gift Exchange' at the Holiday party.
So every participant is required to bring a gift worth $15 (min) up to $20 (max). At the party, everyone will get a chance to either steal the already picked and opened gift or pick a gift from the collected gifts.
Please register for the party on the club website. We need to know the exact headcount.
Bring the check payable to 'Rotary SJEE' for your guests.
We are having a fabulous year and let's celebrate by hosting a Crab Feed on Saturday, December 14th, 2019 and our holiday party on Thursday, December 19th, 2019.
