To support graduating high school students who wish to pursue further vocational training, the Dorothy and Jerry Erich Endowment Fund was established. The 501(c)3 Fund is supported by donations from Rotarians and others interested in promoting vocational training.

From this fund, $2,000.00 scholarships are typically awarded to up to six students each year based on:

B. ELIGIBILITY: Scholarships are available to seniors and graduates (within one year of graduation) of Eastside Union High School District, located in San Jose, CA. They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and plan to attend a community college or trade school after completing high school.

C. SELECTION CRITERIA: All applications will be judged on the following:

1. Financial need

2. Teacher recommendations (2)

3. Extracurricular activities

4. High School transcript

5. This application

6. Scholarship Committee Recommendation to the Erich Endowment Fund Board of Directors

 
Approved scholarships are awarded when the recipient has enrolled in his/her vocational school.
