It’s exciting that our official Rotary year coincides with Independence Day celebrations, so let me begin by wishing you a Happy Fourth of July!
To honor this holiday, our club this year is sponsoring the ‘Rose, White, and Blue’ Parade and Celebration in San Jose on July 4th, 2019. As Rotarians, we still have a lot to do in our communities because not everyone has the same independence and opportunities that we celebrate this week, and we must bridge the gap.
Mark Maloney, our International President, has announced the 2019-2020 Rotary theme as ‘Connecting the World’. In our club, we expand on this goal through our service projects. Our club has been an active organization for the past 50 years in San Jose, and this year we want to focus on our home community in San Jose East Side and Evergreen.
We invite diverse members from all walks of life to connect through service and have an impact in communities both locally and internationally!
