As you know, our Rotary fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. I'll be receiving bills for dues payable to Rotary International and District 5170 for our club members. You've noticed by now that we're trying out a new system of billing members for club dues through the Square Point of Sale company so you are able to pay via credit card. A $9.30 processing fee is added to your $300 dues payment. This fee had been approved by the club board several years ago when you paid by credit card directly with me doing the processing. Now you don't have to stand at my side at a club meeting to process a credit card payment for dues - it's all available on-line through the email you received. For members who prefer to continue to pay by check, we'll gladly accept them too. I am leaving in a few days, along with Nick Leon, to participate in the club/district project to combat human trafficking in Vietnam . If you haven't remitted your payment yet, checks may be mailed/given to Past President Sara Calkins who is "subbing" for me until my return at the end of the month. The $15 late charge that President Harbinder mentioned in his letter had not been discussed/approved by the board, so we will not be enforcing that at this time - but it may be in the future.
