"We Speak Interact"

Supporting local high school students is an important part of our club's projects. Interact is Rotary for students in high school and since we support Interact clubs in seven East Side Union High School District schools, we can proudly boast that "We Speak Interact".

Our Director of Youth Services, Deepali Sinha, is working on filling our rota of 14 students to attend June 2021 Virtual Camp RYLA.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where you develop your skills as a leader while having fun and making connections.

What are the benefits?

Connect with leaders in your community and around the world to:
  • Build communication and problem-solving skills
  • Discover strategies for becoming a dynamic leader in your school or community
  • Learn from community leaders, inspirational speakers, and peer mentors
  • Unlock your potential to turn motivation into action
  • Have fun and form lasting friendships

RI Focus in March

Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene

We support local solutions to bring clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to more people every day. We don’t just build wells and walk away. We share our expertise with community leaders and educators to make sure our projects succeed long-term.

Incoming RI Presidential Theme

Focus for July 2021

Rotary has identified a theme for each month except July. July is the first month of the Rotary year and is when the annual theme kicks in.

Mehta: serving others changes lives

Incoming RI President Shekhar Mehta, a member of the Rotary Club of Calcutta-Mahanagar, West Bengal, India, revealed the 2021-22 presidential theme, Serve to Change Lives, at this week’s virtual Rotary International Assembly. He urged district governors-elect to become more involved in service projects, saying that caring for and serving others is the best way to live because it changes not only other people’s lives, but also our own.
