Community Economic Development MonthTo foster local economic and community growth and development, the United Nations’ newly adopted Sustainable Development Goals encourage us to focus on ending poverty, promoting gender equality, creating decent work and economic growth for all, and creating sustainable cities and communities. In our local community, Rotary San Jose East/Evergreen supports food programs and high school parents and administers an endowed fund to provide scholarships to Eastside Union High School students. In our world-wide community, we support women’s entrepreneurship with financial literacy and small business loans. We provide for girls' education and empowerment to "say no!" to human trafficking. |
